As part of the EC2U Alliance, Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iasi (UAIC) organized the EC2U LIFELINE Master Week – Healthy Caring of Older Adults between March 31st and April 4th, 2025. The event, a cooperative effort with the University of Angers (a member of the EU Green Alliance), was attended by 42 experts, professors, students, and researchers specializing in the healthy care of older individuals.
The opening session of the EC2U LIFELINE Master Week took place on Monday, March 31st, within the Council Hall of the Faculty of Philosophy and Social-Political Sciences. In attendance were Prof. Dr. Nicoleta Laura POPA, Prorector for International Relations and Partnerships for Studies and Research; Prof. Dr. Conțiu Tiberiu Cristi ȘOITU, Prorector for Human Resources, Quality Management and Cultural Activities; Prof. Dr. Romeo ASIMINEI, Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy and Social-Political Sciences; and Prof. Dr. Daniela ȘOITU, coordinator of the Virtual Institute GLADE and the LIFELINE Master’s program, all representing UAIC. The opening also welcomed professors and students from both universities.
The event continued with a series of meetings, courses, and workshops on elderly care, some open to all interested students (positive psychology course, workshop on healthy care of the elderly, course on preventive strategies in car traffic). There were also socio-cultural activities aimed at familiarizing the French guests with the cultural specificities of Iasi and the Moldovan region (guided tour of Iasi, visits to the residential centers for the elderly at the Agapia and Văratec monasteries, visit to the Palace of Culture).

The EC2U LIFELINE Master Week – Healthy Caring of Older Adults event is organized in the framework of the EC2U Virtual Institute for Good Health and Well-being (GLADE), coordinated by the University Alexandru Ioan Cuza of Iași, which also manages the interdisciplinary Master programme “LIFELINE – Lifelong well-being and Healthy Ageing”.
