Political Culture and International Relations in Times of Crisis: Historical and Conceptual Dimensions

Overview: This module emphasizes two major analytical aspects which are inextricably intertwined. On one hand, research on political culture has paramount importance for the study of society and organizational culture. On the other hand, the study of international relations has already become an autonomous field of study within the larger domain of political studies, as well as of political history. Because it connects various disciplines from human and social sciences, the study of both political culture and international relations has an interdisciplinary dimension, which constitutes the main pillar of this program. Through the readings, discussions, and assignments participants will get the chance to explore a number of theoretical and empirical aspects related to political culture and international relations. Moreover, participants will be able to get more acquainted with the historical, social and political aspects of modern and contemporary Romania.
